humuhumunukunukuapua'a
weird name??
NOOO!!!

It's the Hawaiian name of a type of small fish in Hawaii, meaning "triggerfish with a snout like a pig".
It's scientific name is Rhinecanthus aculeatus.
I think that the name is even longer than the fish per se.
However, despite its tiny size, it's officially the state fish of Hawaii since 1990!!!
This trigger fish is able to make grunting noises, possibly a call to warn other nearby triggerfish of existing danger.
The triggerfish's teeth are blue and they are set close together inside its relatively chubby mouth.
Besides, it has a small second spine, which can be used to lock its main spine into an upright position.
Intersting??
(humuhumunukunukuapua'a was introduced by Dr. Paul J during Psychology lecture....) ^v^

H1N1
what a massive outbreak~
Last saturday evening, my bro went to a school party...
At night, while he was resting, he got a sms telling him that a person who attended the party was officially diagnosed H1N1...
My bro was like: "Oh, ic..." and he went to sleep....
Next morning, the whole 'world' knows about it...
Sms, Msn, Facebook, calls....
busy bro....
Then the teacher asked them to self quarantine...
My bro had a bit of sorethroat, so mum took him to see the doctor...
He's fine. Not swine flu...
But he's so happy that the teachers 'Halau' them back home if they go to school....
He's still at home now... am i'm at uni now, waiting for the next lecture...
Since yesterday, we have to queue up to let 'the monash people' check our body temperature...
I was so excited to see what gadget are they using...
Amazing, just hold the gadget near out forehead (without touching), and a 'tit' sound, then 'Next~'...
Wow, that was fast...
So many people are wearing mask...
But is it really useful??
Dad says that it's more important to stay out of crowds, and wash our hands properly...
Drink more H2O, eat healthy food, and self-quarantine if really sick...
Hope that everyone will be as fit as a fiddle....
Health is much more important than wealth~~ ^v^

Last minute
Most of the homo sapiens on earth do things at the very last minute.
AGREE??!?
I saw this 'incident' few weeks back, outside the shops near my house.
I went to fetch my grandpa (who is about 86 years old) from the Kopi Tiam he used to sit there and yam cha the whole morning.
While waiting for him to walk slowly to my car, i saw a white and blue-uniformed malay woman, holding a pen and a 'notebook' sized thingi, walking towards the cars parked outside the shops.
Suddenly, so many (as in MANY!) people (mostly males - no offense) ran out from their original position towards the PAYING MACHINE for parking. Some even drove their cars away.
Wow...
what a scene.
Suddenly so many people 'visit' the Yellow P Box under the hot sun...
Semua takut kena saman.
But why pay at the very last minute??
What if they didn't see the malay working woman??
When the 'guys' are lining up to pay for their vehicles, the malay woman just stood near the machine and watch them pay.
Sweat...
Now i realized that her job is to stand there, so that people will rush out from where ever they are to pay for the parking.
Because, people are lazy. However, under certain circumstances such as stress and money, people will do the 'job', but only at the very last minute.
AGREE??

I'm waiting for a pass... at least~
Semester 2 has started~
back to Pharmacy Practice Room, meet all my classmates again...
Some of them cut & changed their hairstyle~ nice...
Back to my same old seat~
But different lecturers...
Prof Khalid, a 60 year old active guy... going to lecture us for mose of the topics in System Physiology...
Dr. Wong, aka Yoon Sim aka 'Sim Card' (the way she introduced herself)... a young, confident PhD holder for Drug Deliver...
On Tuesday morn, i went to the library once it opened, and sat down on the red sofa...
How come so calm and relax??
Coz i still can't feel the excitement of sem 2...
Then i went to use the computers... and saw lynn as well as fei yee... already using the computers... FACEBOOKING~ LoL
2 hours lectures with an hour breaak in between have been compressed to less than one hour by Dr. Wong... Chun!!!
Which means, there are a lot of time for me to watch a movie!!!

Maybe becoz i did not read the story book...
How come SNARE killed Dumbledore??
Is Voldemort still alive??
What's with that fake thingi?? and the letter??
Can anybody explain the story to me??

haha... coz my violin grade 6 abrsm exam is over!!!
I'm taking ABRSM, but i thought it was Trinity all this while until this Monday~~ haha...
blur blur me...
no wonder it's 150 marks... Trinity is only 100 marks...
The examiner was a caucasian, handsome nice guy~~
but don't know whether the marks will be nice or not...
I definitely played better during my practices...
Made some mistakes here and there... The nerves' job i think~~
But my accompaniment teacher said i did well...
Anyway, it's over...
Will play more nice songs that i like~~
I'm just hoping for a pass now...
which is at least 100 marks...

Violin practical exam...
This coming Wednesday is my Grade 6 violin Practical Exam~
3 pieces, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading (my weakest part as i have not practised, coz teacher said no need...), Aural test which has 4 sections... My teacher just taught me those Aural parts!!!
Arghhhh.... so many things....
Part A: Singing after the examiner plays the rhythm twice...
Part B: Sight-singing (i don't even know that this type of test exists be4) where i have to sing by looking at the notes while the examiner plays the accompaniment.
Part C: The examiner will play some part of a piece, and i have to answer questions after that regarding the texture, form, dynamics, period, tempo and so on...
Omg... so many terms to remember...
Homophonic/Polyphonic, chordal/part-writing, Alberti bass, Binary/Ternary Form, Boraque (JS Bach, Handel)/Classical (Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn)/Romantic (Chopin, Liszt, Brahms)/20th Century period (Schvenberg, Bartok), rubato, piano/forte, crescendo/diminuendo, accelerando/ritardando, ... ...
Part D: Clap the rhythm after the examiner plays the rhythm twice. Something like singing, but i just can't clap well! haiz...
How?!?
I want to pass!!!
If Merit, better still... (obviously~)
Don't panic..... just play and express freely!!! ^v^
