Keychains
Just a random board I decorated to hang my keychains...
Most of them were given by my friends...
I really cherish these cute memorable gifts that coloured my life...
Every piece of them makes me reminisce the old times we had tgr... ^v^
Painting
I've been painting for days... Not normal art painting, but painting the wallssss...
It's really tiring, every inch of my muscles were put into good use, even my gluteus maximus ached after all the hard work...
While painting, I sang:
'We're painters of the world, we're painters of the future~~ lalala'
'When u're happy and u know u paint the walls, when u're happy and u know u paint the walls....'
'When u're happy and u know u do all 4: paint the walls, paint the walls, paint the walls, paint the walls!'
While entertaining myself, I really felt that we are all painters of the world.
The colour of the walls depend on our choice of colours.
The uniformness and evenness of the walls depend on our effort and skills while painting.
Every edge of the walls have to be painted with patience, confidence and skills, and no edge can be missed.
Likewise, all of us are responsible for the betterment of the world.
As the saying by Baha'u'llah goes: "The betterment of the world can be accomplished through pure and goodly deeds, through commendable and seemly conduct."
Are we really good 'painters' of the world??
Are we 'painting' whole-heartedly??
How many more 'walls' do we have to 'paint' in order to improve the condition of the world??
Just to share some Writings that contain the word "paint":
"Music, as one of the arts, is a natural cultural development, and the Guardian does not feel that there should be any cultivation of "Bahá'í Music" any more than we are trying to develop a Bahá'í school of painting or writing. The believers are free to paint, write and compose as their talents guide them. If
music is written , incorporating the sacred writings, the friends are
free to make use of it, but it should never be considered a requirement at
Bahá'í meetings to have such music."
(20 July 1946 to the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States and Canada)
I rejoice to hear that thou takest pains with thine art, for in this wonderful new age, art is worship. The more thou strivest to perfect it, the closer wilt thou come to God. What bestowal could be greater than this, that one's art should be even as the act of worshipping the Lord?
That is to say, when thy fingers grasp the paint
brush, it is as if thou wert at prayer in the Temple.

Eclipse
Alright, I know that it's been awhile since my last update...
This is the busiest summer 'break' I'm having...
Wait...
There's no break or holiday for me this year...
Coz of the Applied Research Unit that I must complete to complete my third year of BPharm!
BUT,
despite of the busy schedules,
I managed to take some fresh air during the 'squeezed out' time~
Last Sat, my family and I went for Aladdin Musical Show in Sunway Lagoon~!
It was a great show and experience~
love the Ginny a lot...
very funny~!!!
| Eclipse~ |
And that night, we saw eclipse~!!!
Real eclipse happening above our heads~!!!
I didn't see the whole process though,
but the moment was enough to refresh my mind and think that the world is full of excitements~
Yeap, that's me in the photos...
I just had a hair cut few days ago...
I've always wanted to cut my hair as the long old curly hair was really messy...
And the amount of hair that falls from my scalp each day is sufficient to produce a wig within a few days.
So, i did it.
Saves shampoo... haha!
"The world suffers a lot.
Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people!"
~Napoleon
Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people!"
~Napoleon
That's the quote of the day.
Many people knows that we must do good things,
save our mother earth,
speak kind words,
do good deeds,
etc...
But, how many people are really doing it everyday?
Sometimes we feel guilty doing something that we know is not really right, but it's convenient to us...
Coz our lower selfish nature conquered us...
For example,
I know that the elevator (lift) uses lots of energy and increases carbon footprints.
So I told myself to use the stairs.
but, in order to save time and lazy,
i used the elevator and felt bad for not doing my part to save the earth.
This is only one tiny example in our daily lives.
We just follow what the world has set for us.
And refuses to change.
How?!?

Yeah~!
Practical exam in lab was tough today...
But it's finally over~!
3/4 of my Year 3 is over~!
You may wonder, where is the other 1/4??
Well, I'm taking summer research unit, starting next week.
I just met the lecturer and the PhD student in uni just now, don't know what are they discussing about most of the time, but I anticipate to learn something from this unit, and pass with flying colours~!
I feel busier after the exam~
Hmm... Committed to many things...
But i hope to have fun and learn something new each day too~!
Laser tag tmr~!
Yeah!
First time with classmates, it's in i-city~
Really anticipate to sweatand lose weight! ^v^
Oh ya, I've to pack to go Kuantan this Friday til Sunday~!
Am going with my team mates, as we're joining a Pharmacy Competition there, competing with many Year 4 students from other uni...
Should be difficult to win as we're only year 3 and year 2 students...(mana ada year 4 now?)
But miracles do happen~!
We'll see~~ hehe
Pray hard and hope for the best~ ^v^

This was last week's...
I 'beautified' my wall with my notes...
If u notice in the top photo, there're 2 miserable papers at the bottom right...
Wonder why?
I studied them when i felt tired standing...
So i squatted or sat on the floor to read them...
haha~
There're not on my wall now...
2 more weeks~!!!

Something is wrong with me...
I mean my health condition...
3 migraine attacks in a month!!!
Rediculous...
I don't really feel very stress, so how come?
Just finished my first exam paper of the sem... which is a disastrous...
30 marks for a ques that didn't have many bullet points in our lecture notes! Who set the paper?!?
And last night, I had a mgraine attack at around 7pm.
I was so worried that it will carry on til the next day until I cannot go for my exam.
So I slept early (of course uncomfortably due to the pain and agitation)...
Meaning, my plan to study last minute & absorb as much info as possible, failed.
I think i got migraine from my mum's gene.
It has no cure, except to hide in the dark and sleep in a quiet and cool place when being attacked.
Last night's migraine attack was weird.
Usually, I'll have the pain first, then slowly eyes become blur blur, then can't see clearly, and slows down my movement.
But yesterday, my eyes became blur first, without any dizziness and pain in my head.
I thought i've got some eyesight disorder suddenly~!
It's so scary to become blind.
I'm so afraid to become blind.
If I'm blind, how?!?
omg... dare not to think...
I think I'll go for whole body medical checkup after my exams and pharmacy competition.
I pray that everyone I love will be as it as a fiddle always~ ^v^

2 things
2 things:
1st, when i was reading my notes for exams, i noticed an insect (i think it's a mosquito), died and dried on my notes paper... maybe it's dead for months ady... since my last HUGE FLIP to close the notes and hide it under a huge pile of other notes...
Poor thing... didn't notice it when i last flip my notes...
2nd, last night, my mum asked me from her room, "Violet, how's ur studies? Need any help?"
Wah... 1st time she asked...
I responded :" Ok, nothing..."
In my heart, i was thinking, 'Can you help me to study, and take my exams?'
Then she asked again after a few minutes...
Then she walked into my room...
I said, 'Erm, help me by massaging?'
Haha, free massage from her... 1st time... hahaha...
Ok, back to study... ^v^

I cannot breathe!
Time is running after me~!
I didn't realise that September has passed...
Can't rmb a single thing from September...
It just flew away...
How come?!?
It's now near the end of 2011~!
So many things to study...
Argh!
I remembered something in Sep...
Pharmacy course has been labelled as the toughest academic course by Guinness Book World of Records 2011.
Yeap, no joke.
No wonder I'm grasping for air~
I just had my hepatitis B vaccine injection yesterday, but my left arm still hurts til today.
Ouch... (my itchy right hand just touched it)
I've to get the jab before i enter SunMed for placement next year....
to protect myself...
Ok, back to 'staring' at lecture notes... ^v^

Smile
It's easy to smile.
Just lift some muscles on your face... Yes, like what u just did...
Add some emotion to it... some happy feelings to it...
Let your eyes smile too...
Smile widely...
Do it for 5 seconds...
Now, do u feel much happier??
When you feel happy, you'll smile automatically without anyone instructing you to do so.
It's nature.
However, I believe that when we don't really feel happy, and we just smile widely for a while, we feel slowly feel happy too~!
Our actions (smile) will give us the happy feeling (emotion) somehow... I don't know how...
I've not been blogging for some time, because I don't know what to write...
My life has been quite normal and routined...
No roller coaster stories to share...
Yet, I just realised that there are so many tiny stuff in my life that I've neglected, which are worth to share.
Just like the post today - Smile.
I went to the ladies this morning, and a lady who came out from it gave me a wide smile.
I smiled back (coz im polite! hehe!)~
I felt much better instantaneously...
Life has been great, and we should be optimistic always~
Smile and change the world around you,
not let the world change your smile.
^v^
